And There You Have It

It is a very interesting subject. Talking about it can go on infin-it-ely. It relates to just about anything and everything. Sometimes we just can’t figure it out. What about it? I don’t know, haven’t dug in too deep about it for a while. It seems that the talk is all about it: identify it, then to let go of it and detach from it. Personally I try to stay away from it, ‘cause there’s so much attached to it.  Hard enough not to step into it, let alone try to find it. It’s allusive, cagey, sly, magic, and full of it; it has its own volition, even.  So what is it? It is all things or anything. Depends on your first impression of it. If it comes looking for you, then you might be weary of it. It you are looking for it, then it might jump on your head. If you are afraid of it, sure as heck you will be staring it right in the face, wondering what it’s all about. Get over it or get on with it. It’s amazing how hard it is not to bring it up – it has a tendency to monopolize any conversation.  Try and avoid talking about it and see where you go!  You might just say f..k it! Or, just do it! Build it and they will come. I am glad it is so easy to spell, for as often as it shows up in a story.  Just a short b-it ago I spoke with a couple of friends about it and it was virtually in every concept!  Even though there was a variety of concepts, it showed up. We had a lot of fun with it, they were headed for the swimmin’ hole and we talked about it, how lovely it is there right now. Wow, it looks like rain? Sure enough, we got some of it. She-it. But the point of it was still very amusingly elusive yet always present.  We acknowledged it along the way. We spoke of the question of it, and why so many seek it.  And then when you realize there is no it, you have to let go of it, let it flow!  I realize that it is easier when I release it. I observe it, but don’t hold onto it. Post it. Perhaps one day I will not need any of it at all?  So what was it we were speaking about? It slippin’ out of this reality…really being out of it. Will it show up there? Only if I create it. Real-it-y. Thoughts become things, so we must be aware of…this.

  1. I enjoyed this ‘there you have it’ musing (sounds like the thoughts in my head these past two weeks!). 🙂 And yeah, the whole grappling with it, the elusive IT, can suddenly seem so fatiguing. What a revelation! xoxo Jamie
